Although this can be a fun time of year for nature lovers and mushroom pickers, it can also prove to be quite dangerous for our scavenging, canine companions.

Although anxious pets and certain breeds can be more likely to suffer from sound phobias, any pet may have issues with thunderstorms, fireworks and/or loud music.

With so many animal lovers out there, a frequent question our vets are asked here at Van Isle Veterinary is, “How do I become a veterinarian”? 

Now that it is a legal substance, will veterinarians be able to prescribe and/or recommend cannabis products for our pets? The answer is no – not yet at least.
